Business
FiberCore, Inc. (FBCE) develops, manufactures and markets single-mode and multimode optical fiber and optical fiber preforms for telecommunications, data communications and specialty applications including fiber optic gyroscopes, sensors, lasers and amplifiers. The company offers products such as polarization-maintaining fibers including bow-tie and Zing polarizing fibers; rare-earth-doped fibers encompassing erbium, neodymium and erbium/ytterbium varieties; high-temperature and radiation-resistant fibers for oil and gas, aerospace and defense; photosensitive fibers for Bragg gratings; bend-insensitive single-mode fibers; pure silica-core fibers; multicore and high-NA fibers; along with specialty cables, coatings and custom fiber solutions under brands like InfoGlas, EconoGrade and ValuGrade. FiberCore serves customers in aerospace, defense, oil and gas, telecommunications, medical devices and research sectors across more than 50 countries through its principal operating units FiberCore Jena A.G. in Germany and Xtal FiberCore Brasil S.A. in Brazil; it operates from headquarters in Charlton, Massachusetts, with manufacturing and R&D facilities now centered in Southampton, United Kingdom, following its integration into the Humanetics Sensors group, formerly Safety Technology Holdings. Founded in 1987, FiberCore maintains global sales and support offices in North America and China. Recent developments include a May 2025 partnership with DIMIONE Systems to enhance fiber optic sensing solutions; appointment of Raky Chiu as APAC Account Manager in November 2025 and Richard Manderscheid as Regional Sales Manager in August 2024; Dominic Brady's election to the Photonics21 Board of Stakeholders in November 2024; and ongoing unification under Humanetics Group focusing on digital, safety and sensor technologies.
