Business
Grit Metals Corp. is a junior mining company engaged in the exploration and development of lithium, cesium, tantalum and rare-earth-element pegmatite projects in Finland, with a focus on advancing its Central Finland Lithium Exploration Project and related Northern Finland mineral claims from its headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded as European Energy Metals Corp. and later renamed Grit Metals Corp., the company holds a portfolio of 100%-owned tenements and reservations in central and northern Finland, including the Kyrölä, Mörkylä and Jylhä targets, the Nabba and Kovela interests, and additional reservations such as Kontti, Kontti 2, Haara, Mairivaara, Nousu, Angelvaara and Kiila, positioned near Sibanye-Stillwater’s Keliber lithium mine and processing complex and the Kokkola lithium hydroxide chemical plant. Its core activities include mineral property acquisition, geological mapping, surface sampling, boulder and pegmatite targeting, trenching and diamond drilling to delineate lithium-bearing LCT pegmatites and other battery and precious-metals opportunities. The company also maintains exploration exposure to precious metals in Northern Finland and, historically, to the Champ property in British Columbia. Recent corporate developments include the completion of a maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Central Finland Lithium Project, follow-up surface and drill results identifying new spodumene-boulder targets and confirming a highly fractionated pegmatite system, the initiation of fully funded drilling at high-priority lithium targets, and a strategic review of its Central Finland assets ahead of further drilling. In August 2026, Grit Metals appointed Jake Clark as Chief Executive Officer and a director, with Jeremy Poirier transitioning to Chairman, marking a management reorganization aligned with the company’s next phase of exploration-focused technical and corporate development.
