Business
Instone Real Estate Group SE develops residential real estate properties in Germany, focusing on multi-family buildings, apartment complexes, publicly subsidized housing, contemporary urban districts, and renovations of listed buildings for residential use; the company offers sales and leasing of residential quarters through its core subsidiary Instone Real Estate Development GmbH and innovative modular housing solutions via its nyoo by Instone brand. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Essen, Germany, Instone operates nationwide across major metropolitan areas including Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Nuremberg, and Leipzig, targeting owner-occupiers, private investors, institutional housing investors, and public sector partners with an emphasis on social integration, ecological value, and affordable living spaces. The company employs around 338 people and maintains approximately 3,000 socially subsidized or price-controlled apartments in development or planning. Instone recently strengthens its project pipeline through major land acquisitions, including significant investments across nine locations for over 2,100 new residential units with around 800 affordable units via nyoo's modular approach, and a dedicated purchase in Leipzig's Löwitz Quartier for 162 apartments planned for completion by end-2029; it plans further land acquisitions with a total gross development value of around EUR 2 billion in financial years 2025 and 2026 to enhance growth and capital efficiency via joint ventures.
