Business
PSI Software SE is an enterprise software provider that develops and integrates software products and solutions for optimizing energy and material flows for public utilities, energy network operators, and industrial enterprises. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany, the company maintains operations across Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. The company operates through three primary business segments: Grid and Energy Management, Process Industries and Metals, and Discrete Manufacturing and Logistics. The company's core product and service portfolio includes PSIcontrol, a modular supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and energy management system designed for the real-time monitoring, network simulation, and automated control of electrical power, gas, heat, and water distribution grids; PSImarket, an integrated software suite supporting energy trading, sales, contract administration, and portfolio and risk management for commodity markets; PSIcommand, a mobile workforce and field service management application for utility infrastructure maintenance, fault clearance, and dispatching; PSImetals, an end-to-end supply chain management (SCM), advanced planning and scheduling (APS), and manufacturing execution system (MES) platform engineered specifically for the metals, steel, and aluminum processing industries; PSIpenta, an integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) and MES software suite designed for discrete manufacturing, machinery production, plant engineering, and automotive suppliers; PSIwms, an artificial intelligence-driven warehouse management system for automated intralogistics and supply chain distribution centers; and Qualicision, PSIdeepqualicision, and Qualicision A2, proprietary industrial artificial intelligence and extended fuzzy logic engines that deliver multi-criteria decision support, predictive operations, and automated optimization across all software modules hosted on the cloud-ready, service-oriented PSIplatform architecture and the PSI App Store. In recent corporate developments, PSI Software SE entered into an investment agreement and strategic partnership with global private equity firm Warburg Pincus, through its holding vehicle Zest Bidco GmbH, which concluded a successful voluntary public takeover offer and secured a controlling majority stake of over 82 percent of the company's share capital. In September 2026, PSI Software SE executed a delisting agreement with Warburg Pincus to initiate the withdrawal of its shares from trading on the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard) to support the company's long-term strategic transition toward cloud-native architectures, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business models, and expanded research and development. In addition, the company streamlined its operations by divesting its public transport software subsidiary, PSI Transcom GmbH (rebranded to Peak Mobility GmbH), and completed corporate restructuring and enterprise security modernization initiatives under its executive management board.
