FTAI Aviation Ltd. is a global aviation company that owns, leases, manages, and sells commercial aircraft and engines, with a primary focus on aftermarket maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for CFM56 and V2500 jet engines; its Aviation Leasing segment provides leasing and sales of aviation assets including narrowbody aircraft and engines to airlines and lessors worldwide, while the Aerospace Products segment develops, manufactures, repairs, refurbishes, and sells engines, modules, parts, materials, and proprietary aftermarket components such as those from its Module Factory and PMA joint ventures. The company, founded in 2011 and headquartered in New York, New York, operates maintenance facilities in the United States and Europe, serving airline, lessor, and MRO customers across multiple continents with a portfolio exceeding 421 aviation assets as of late 2024. Recent developments include the expansion of its Strategic Capital Initiative (SCI) partnership to $2 billion in equity with a target deployment of over $6 billion across approximately 375 aircraft by mid-2026, enhancing asset-light growth and engine exchange services; the acquisition of ATOPS for $15 million to bolster CFM56 operations in Miami and establish a logistics hub in Portugal; the launch of a 50/50 joint venture, Prime Engine Accessories, with Bauer Inc. for repairing engine components like fuel pumps, HMUs, actuators, and valves; a strategic partnership with Palantir Technologies Inc.
