The company, founded in 1931 by Rudolf Fuchs and headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, operates 34 production sites and 56 subsidiaries across more than 50 countries, serving industries from automotive and manufacturing to agriculture, wind energy and rail with tailored, sustainable solutions including the biodegradable Planto range and CO2-compensated products; it remains the world's largest independent lubricant manufacturer, listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under ticker FPE (OTC: FUPPF) and majority-controlled by the founding family. Recent developments include the acquisition of LUBCON Group in July 2024 to enhance expertise in rail and wind energy sectors; the acquisition of STRUB & Co.
