Generali recently signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with BPCE in January 2025 to form a 50-50 joint venture between Generali Investments Holding and Natixis Investment Managers, creating Europe's largest asset manager by revenues and a global top-10 player with approximately €1.9 trillion in assets under management. In October 2025, Generali Investments acquired a majority stake in MGG Investment Group, a U.S.-based private direct lending specialist, to bolster its private assets capabilities. The company launched its Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence strategic plan in January 2025, succeeding Lifetime Partner 24: Driving Growth, to enhance customer relationships, operational models, and core capabilities while committing €15 billion in seed capital over five years to the new asset management platform.
