Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. (GCTAF) designs, manufactures and services wind turbines for onshore and offshore applications worldwide. The company offers an extensive portfolio of onshore turbines including the SG 14-236 DD with up to 15 MW capacity and Power Boost, SG 7.0-170 for medium winds, SG 5.0-145 (2.0), SG 5.2-165 for U.S. markets, SG 4.3-140/130/120 direct drive series for extreme conditions, SG 3.4-145 for India, SG 3.2-129 (USA), SG 3.4-132 and SG 2.6-114; offshore models such as the SG 14-236; wind farm development, construction and sales; operation and maintenance services with advanced diagnostics and digitalization; aging fleet solutions and off-grid products. Formed in 2017 through the merger of Siemens Wind Power and Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica, S.A., Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, S.A. maintains headquarters in Zamudio, Vizcaya, Spain, with key facilities in Madrid and Sarriguren, Spain, as well as major offshore operations in Germany and Denmark; it operates across 81 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australia, serving industrial, automotive and new technology sectors with over 146 GW installed capacity and 91 GW under maintenance. In December 2025, the company completed the sale of its Gamesa Electric power electronics business to ABB, including wind converters, battery storage systems and solar inverters, along with two Spanish factories, 400 employees and assets in the U.S., China, India and Australia, while entering a long-term supply agreement with ABB for onshore and offshore turbines.
