Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, a leading Chinese automobile manufacturer controlled by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, engages in the research, development, production, marketing and sale of passenger vehicles including sedans, wagons, sport utility vehicles and new energy vehicles under the Geely Auto, Lynk & Co and ZEEKR brands; vehicle transmissions, engines, automobile parts and related components such as electric powertrains, battery systems including the Golden Short Blade Battery and AI digital chassis; after-sales and technical services; automotive design, software systems development, modular development, intelligent electric vehicles virtual engineering and mobility technology solutions; knock-down kits and integrated vehicle services; as well as technology consulting, general logistics, packing and storage. Headquartered in Hangzhou, China and founded in 1997 as a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group which traces origins to 1986, the company operates 12 manufacturing plants and five global R&D centers worldwide, with sales and service outlets in over 80 countries and regions including expanded presence in Southeast Asia, Latin America, South Africa and Europe through localized operations. Recent developments include the June 2025 signing of a capital contribution and joint venture agreement with Renault Group, Geely Holding and subsidiaries to establish Renault Geely do Brasil with a R$3.8 billion investment in the Ayrton Senna Complex for production of Geely's zero and low emissions GEA platform vehicles starting in 2026; Geely's acquisition of a 26.4% stake in Renault do Brasil in November 2025 to accelerate brand development and distribution of models like the Geely EX5 electric SUV; the July 2025 agreement to privatize ZEEKR by acquiring remaining shares at $2.687 each; completion of Lynk & Co and ZEEKR merger synergies in H1 2025 driving record H1 revenues exceeding RMB150 billion; launch of the GEELY EX2 electric model in Thailand in December 2025 with over 1,000 pre-orders; official entry into South Africa in November 2025 with two models; and record 2024 sales of 2.176 million units amid the Intelligent Geely 2025 strategy targeting 3.65 million annual sales through electrification and multi-energy powertrains.
