Goldman Sachs Finance Reimagined ETF (GFIN) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the Motif Finance Reimagined Index, providing exposure to companies benefiting from ongoing changes in the structure of financial services through investments in growth and value stocks across diversified market capitalizations. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in securities included in the underlying index, which comprises common equity securities listed on exchanges in developed markets; its portfolio features approximately 500 holdings with significant sector allocations including technology (49.4%), financials (25.04%), and other sectors such as communications, industrials, real estate, basic materials, consumer cyclical, and healthcare. Geographically, holdings are concentrated in North America (78.13%, primarily the United States at 75.1%), Europe (11.38%), Asia-Pacific (5.51%), and Asia (3.2%), spanning large-cap (53.38%), mid-cap (29.1%), small-cap (11.28%), and micro-cap (6.2%) companies. Issued by Goldman Sachs ETF Trust and managed under Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the ETF trades on the NYSE Arca and was launched around late 2020. In recent developments, Goldman Sachs has expanded its ETF capabilities through strategic initiatives, including the 2023 launch of funds via its ETF Accelerator platform in partnership with GMO, marking the first ETF listing for the global investment manager. More significantly, in late 2025, Goldman Sachs agreed to acquire Innovator Capital Management for $2 billion in cash and equity, adding $28 billion in assets under supervision across 159 defined-outcome ETFs focused on income, buffer, and growth strategies; the deal, expected to close in Q2 2026, bolsters Goldman Sachs' active ETF offerings and positions it for growth in high-demand segments. These moves align with broader efforts to diversify revenue streams in asset and wealth management, including a October 2025 acquisition of Industry Ventures for alternatives exposure and a September 2025 partnership with T. Rowe Price for retirement products. Headquartered in New York, Goldman Sachs operates globally as a leading financial institution founded in 1869, with the GFIN ETF serving institutional and retail investors seeking thematic exposure to financial innovation.
