GMO International Value ETF (GMOI) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks total return by investing primarily in international equities outside the United States, concentrating on the most undervalued "deep value" stocks (cheapest 20% segment) identified through GMO's proprietary valuation models and top-down asset allocation insights from its Systematic Equity team; the fund employs quantitative analysis to construct its portfolio, emphasizing realistic company valuations that incorporate quality and growth prospects beyond reported financials; it benchmarks against the MSCI World ex USA Value Index, maintains an expense ratio of 0.60%, and features sector allocations led by financials (31.3%), industrials (13.6%), and energy (10.0%), with top holdings including Toronto-Dominion Bank, BHP Group Ltd, TotalEnergies SE, Bank of Nova Scotia, and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA. The ETF operates within the foreign large value category, targeting developed non-U.S. markets across regions such as Europe (53.8% exposure, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and Sweden), Asia Pacific (29.6%, led by Japan), and North America ex-U.S. (14.6%, primarily Canada), with approximately 175-176 holdings spanning diversified market capitalizations and countries like Japan (21.0%), Canada (14.6%), and the United Kingdom (10.1%). Launched on October 28, 2024, as part of the 2023 ETF Series Trust II and listed on NYSE Arca, GMOI represents the expansion of GMO's ETF lineup by Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO), a Boston-headquartered global investment manager founded in 1977 with offices in London, Sydney, Amsterdam, Singapore, San Francisco, and Tokyo. In late October 2024, GMO simultaneously launched GMOI alongside GMO U.S. Value ETF (GMOV) and GMO International Quality ETF (QLTI), building on the success of its inaugural ETF, GMO U.S. Quality ETF (QLTY), to provide investors with tax-efficient access to valuation-driven strategies; this initiative was supported by the Goldman Sachs ETF Accelerator platform; subsequently, in 2025, GMO continued its ETF expansion with launches including GMO Domestic Resilience ETF (DRES) in September, GMO Dynamic Allocation ETF (GMOD) in October, and others such as GMO Beyond China ETF (BCHI) and GMO Systematic Investment Grade Credit ETF (INVG), reflecting strategic growth in actively managed ETF offerings amid assets under management reaching approximately $184 million for GMOI as of October 31, 2025.
