Business
Synektik Spólka Akcyjna is a leading Polish company specializing in the production and provision of advanced medical technologies primarily for surgery, diagnostic imaging, and nuclear medicine. Its core products include medical devices such as the Da Vinci robotic surgical systems, diagnostic imaging equipment, and IT solutions like PACS (ARPACS) software for image registration, visualization, description, and archiving. Synektik also produces radiopharmaceuticals used in cancer diagnosis (PET), operates a research laboratory for acceptance and specialized testing of X-ray equipment, and offers maintenance services for medical imaging equipment. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Warsaw, Poland, Synektik primarily serves the Polish healthcare market but has expanding operations and technology transfers to the United States and neighboring Baltic countries. Recent major developments include signing a significant contract worth 15.7 million PLN with the State Medical Institute MSWiA for Da Vinci robotic surgery systems, aiming to sell more than 30 units in the 2025/2026 fiscal year. Synektik has also completed the transfer of technology for producing cardioneutral diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals to US centers, with plans to apply for FDA approval to start phase III clinical trials in 2026. The company’s financial health improved markedly, reporting a 61% year-over-year EBITDA increase to 54.6 million PLN in Q4 2024/25 with net profit of 30.9 million PLN, driven by growth in medical equipment sales and recurring revenue streams. Synektik operates through segments focused on medical device sales, IT solutions, equipment maintenance, and radiopharmaceutical production, maintaining key strategic partnerships such as with Siemens. Synektik’s recent strategic shifts emphasize expanding its robotic surgery footprint, advancing regulatory approvals for novel radiopharmaceuticals, and increasing export sales to the Baltic states, marking significant growth and internationalization in its business profile. Its headquarters remain in Warsaw, Poland, with operations that effectively blend product innovation, service provision, and technology transfer activities.
