- Greencity Acquisition Corporation is a blank check company incorporated in the Cayman Islands and formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses, with a focus on the Asian middle market particularly opportunities connected to China; it targets sectors including Internet and high technology, financial technology, logistics, clean energy, health care, consumer and retail, energy and resources, food processing, manufacturing and education. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Shanghai, the company raised $40 million in its initial public offering in July 2020, with units trading under the ticker GRCYU on Nasdaq prior to delisting. In April 2023, Greencity signed a non-binding letter of intent with Bopai Construction Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a 3D printing firm specializing in Construction Industry 4.0 technologies holding 43 patents, to pursue a potential business combination subject to due diligence and audited financials, though no definitive agreement or completion has been announced as of late 2025; the company has extended its combination deadline multiple times, including to October 2022, and remains active as a SPAC seeking targets without a completed transaction.
