Business
Posti Group Oyj is a Finland-based provider of postal, logistics, parcel, and eCommerce fulfillment services operating primarily across Finland, Sweden, and the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Founded in 1638 and headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, the company is wholly owned by the State of Finland and manages operations structured around core business areas comprising Postal Services, eCommerce and Delivery Services, and Fulfillment Services. The company provides an extensive portfolio of delivery and supply chain solutions, including domestic and international letter mail, newspaper, magazine, and unaddressed direct marketing distribution; standard, express, and international parcel shipping and return services for business-to-consumer and business-to-business clients; an extensive self-service automated parcel locker and pickup point network; digital communication, electronic invoicing, and digital mailbox services through its proprietary OmaPosti platform; full-truckload, less-than-truckload, and temperature-controlled food transport; contract logistics, warehouse management, in-house industrial logistics, and value-added packaging services primarily conducted through its specialized subsidiaries Suomen Transval Oy and Aditro Logistics AB; and end-to-end cross-border customs clearance and supply chain management for global eCommerce merchants. In recent developments, Posti Group has continued its strategic shift toward Nordic contract logistics and digital eCommerce delivery to offset the structural volume decline of traditional paper mail, executing substantial investments in automated parcel sorting terminals and robotic fulfillment facilities in Finland and Sweden. The company has also expanded its Baltic locker infrastructure, strengthened cross-border carrier partnerships, rolled out enhanced digital self-service features on the OmaPosti platform, and accelerated the transition of its transport fleet to electric and biogas vehicles in alignment with its operational decarbonization roadmap.
