Business
Yuan Heng Gas Holdings Limited (0332.HK), an investment holding company incorporated in Bermuda in 1992 and headquartered in Hong Kong, principally engages in oil and gas transactions, production and sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG), piped gas operations, and other energy-related activities including sales of vehicle gas at refueling stations and LNG transportation; core products and services encompass wholesale of LNG, trading of oil and gas contracts, sales of piped gas, construction of gas pipeline infrastructure, operation of vehicle gas refueling stations, and provision of related consultancy services primarily in the People's Republic of China with operations extending to Hong Kong and Singapore. The company operates through segments such as production and sales of LNG, oil and gas transactions, piped gas, and other operations, targeting industrial, commercial, and vehicle fuel markets in the energy sector. In recent developments, the Group deconsolidated its piped gas subsidiary Huaheng Energy in fiscal year 2025 due to loss of control amid operational suspension and litigation with partners, recorded significant impairment losses under the expected credit loss model on receivables and guarantees totaling RMB1.87 billion, defaulted on bank borrowings and guaranteed notes prompting cross-defaults, initiated a scheme of arrangement with the Hong Kong High Court in June 2025 for debt restructuring (currently adjourned), signed a financing agreement with a strategic investor for up to HK$20 million in interest-free unsecured funding to support restructuring, and optimized operational strategies by reducing trading volumes, enhancing LNG processing margins, and controlling costs to improve liquidity amid ongoing creditor negotiations and litigation settlements.
