Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE: BE), founded in 2001 and headquartered in San Jose, California, designs, manufactures, sells, installs and services solid oxide fuel cell systems for onsite power generation and distributed energy solutions; its core products include the Bloom Energy Server, which converts natural gas, biogas or hydrogen into electricity without combustion for applications in data centers, manufacturing, utilities, healthcare, biotech, retail, education and other commercial sectors, and the Bloom Electrolyzer for hydrogen production; the company also offers installation services, operations and maintenance agreements, electricity sales through power purchase agreements, combined heat and power configurations, carbon capture compatibility and microgrid solutions. Bloom operates manufacturing facilities in Delaware and Fremont, California, with deployments exceeding 1.5 gigawatts across more than 1,000 sites in nine countries including the United States, Japan, South Korea and others in Asia and Europe, serving Fortune 100 customers such as Google, Walmart, Equinix and Coca-Cola. Recent developments include a project financing partnership announced in December 2024 with HPS Investment Partners and Industrial Development Funding committing over $125 million for 19 megawatts of Energy Servers under power purchase agreements; a $5 billion strategic infrastructure partnership in October 2025 with Brookfield Asset Management to supply onsite power for data centers and AI facilities globally; expansion of its relationship with Equinix surpassing 100 megawatts for U.S. data centers with 75 megawatts operational and 30 megawatts under construction; progression toward 2 gigawatts annual production capacity; and ongoing collaborations such as with Chantiers de l’Atlantique and MSC for fuel cell-powered cruise ships, Heliogen for green hydrogen and SoCalGas for gas blending projects.
