Business
Hong Wei (Asia) Holdings Company Limited (8191.HK) is an investment holding company principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of particleboards in the People's Republic of China. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Admiralty, Hong Kong, with principal manufacturing operations in Renhua County, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, the company operates through two main segments: Particleboards, which produces and sells particleboards made from raw materials such as undersized logs, wood branches, and agricultural and forestry residues for use in furniture, flooring panels, sports equipment, decoration, and construction materials; and Forestry, which handles timber logging, plantation, and sales of timber woods, bamboo, and agricultural products. Its products primarily serve furniture and equipment manufacturers, sports equipment producers, and decoration and building materials companies, mainly in the Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta economic regions, and Fujian province. In June 2025, the company entered into a subscription agreement to issue 10.531 million new shares at HK$0.151 each under its general mandate, aiming to raise approximately HK$1.5 million in net proceeds for general working capital and to broaden its shareholder base, with the subscriber poised to become a substantial shareholder bringing expertise in real estate and potential synergies in forestry and biofuels expansion.
