Business
Giga Metals Corporation engages in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral properties focused on battery metals in Canada. The company holds an 85% interest in Hard Creek Nickel Corporation, a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation that owns 100% of the Turnagain Nickel-Cobalt Project in northern British Columbia, approximately 65 km east of Dease Lake; the project ranks among the world's largest undeveloped sulphide nickel deposits and supports open-pit mining of nickel sulphide ore processed via crush-grind-froth flotation to produce high-grade 18% nickel and 1.1% cobalt concentrate suitable for smelters or pressure oxidation to Class 1 nickel for lithium-ion batteries, with prospective copper, platinum and palladium mineralization in the Attic Zone. The Pre-Feasibility Study released in October 2023 outlines average annual production of 37,288 tonnes of nickel plus cobalt over a 30-year mine life, proven and probable reserves of 950.5 million tonnes grading 0.206% nickel and 0.012% cobalt, initial capital costs of US$1.9 billion, and after-tax NPV of US$574 million at a US$9.755 per pound nickel base case. Headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and founded prior to its public listing, Giga Metals recently announces positive magnetotelluric geophysical results at Turnagain in November 2025 prompting further MT and EM surveys into spring 2026 funded by a recent financing; completes the first tranche of a critical minerals flow-through private placement in October 2025; engages ICP Securities Inc. for automated market making effective December 1, 2025; and releases its Q3 2025 management's discussion and analysis detailing financial position and operations.
