Petrolimex Installation No.III Joint Stock Company, commonly known as PENJICO, is a Vietnam-based engineering and construction enterprise specializing in the technical infrastructure of the oil, gas, and energy sectors. Originally established in 1977 as a state-owned construction enterprise and converted into a joint-stock company in 1999, the company is headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and operates as an affiliate within the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) ecosystem. It is publicly listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PEN. The company provides engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and technical support services to state-owned petroleum distributors, independent energy firms, industrial manufacturers, and infrastructure developers across Vietnam and neighboring regional markets. The company organizes its business operations across three primary segments: Construction and Installation, Mechanical Fabrication and Manufacturing, and Commercial Trading and Services. Its Construction and Installation segment encompasses the construction, erection, and installation of bulk petroleum storage tanks, chemical storage terminals, and liquefied gas tanks; the engineering and laying of technological pipelines for petroleum products, chemicals, gas, and industrial water; the construction of petroleum retail stations, commercial fueling depots, and specialized aviation fuel storage facilities; the civil and structural construction of industrial processing plants, commercial warehouses, and utility buildings; the construction of marine infrastructure, including specialized oil jetties, mooring berths, port facilities, and river embankments; the design and installation of industrial fire protection, fire suppression, and safety systems; the construction of wastewater treatment, environmental protection, and pollution control facilities; and the installation of power distribution networks, electrical transmission lines, and transformer substations. Its Mechanical Fabrication and Manufacturing segment provides the custom fabrication of structural steel frameworks, pressure vessels, cylindrical and spherical tanks, pipeline fittings, industrial valves, and specialized metal components for energy and industrial facilities. Its Commercial Trading and Services segment provides the distribution of specialized petroleum technical equipment, machinery, measurement apparatus, and replacement components; leasing of commercial office space, warehouses, and industrial fabrication yards; freight forwarding and road cargo transportation; and commercial hospitality services. In recent operational and strategic developments over the past two years, Petrolimex Installation No.III Joint Stock Company has focused on strengthening its core energy infrastructure contracting portfolio, securing key project awards including engineering and installation contracts for aviation fuel depot infrastructure such as terminal works at the Nam Dinh Vu project, alongside ongoing tank farm modernizations for major domestic energy distributors. Operationally, the company has implemented structural realignment initiatives across its regional branches to optimize project management efficiency, manage working capital, and mitigate historical accumulated balance sheet liabilities. Furthermore, PENJICO has upgraded its on-site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols and technical compliance programs across all active construction sites to meet modern industrial safety benchmarks. Strategically, the company continues to prioritize high-specification EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts in petroleum, petrochemical, and industrial infrastructure while expanding its mechanical manufacturing capabilities to serve growing national infrastructure demand.
