- Sa Giang Import Export Corporation is a Vietnam-based food manufacturing and processing company that produces, distributes, and exports seafood-flavored snack chips and rice-derived food products. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Sa Dec City, Dong Thap Province, Vietnam, the company operates as a key subsidiary of Vinh Hoan Corporation, one of the world's largest pangasius and seafood processing groups. Sa Giang operates multiple industrial manufacturing facilities across the Mekong Delta region, maintaining an annual production capacity exceeding 9,000 metric tons of crackers alongside extensive rice processing infrastructure.
The company organizes its business operations around three primary product categories: Seafood and Savory Crackers, Rice-Based Foodstuffs, and Packaged Goods and Beverages. The Seafood and Savory Crackers segment manufactures the company's flagship Sa Giang brand prawn and shrimp crackers; crab, squid, and fish crackers; and specialty vegetable, onion, garlic, and vegetarian snack chips formulated for deep-frying or microwave preparation. The Rice-Based Foodstuffs segment produces dried rice vermicelli; traditional Vietnamese pho rice noodles; pad thai noodles; hu tieu noodles; flat rice sheets; and edible rice paper used for fresh and fried spring rolls. The Packaged Goods and Beverages segment offers prepared dipping sauces and culinary seasonings, as well as bottled purified drinking water marketed under the Sagiwa brand name.
Sa Giang serves wholesale distributors, retail supermarket chains, foodservice operators, and industrial food clients across domestic and international markets. The company distributes its product portfolio throughout Vietnam and exports to more than 40 countries across Europe, North America, Asia, Oceania, and Africa, maintaining key export hubs in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, and South Korea. Its manufacturing facilities comply with international food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC Global Standards, HALAL, and US FDA registrations.
In recent developments, Sa Giang completed its strategic integration into Vinh Hoan Corporation following Vinh Hoan's acquisition of a controlling stake exceeding 76 percent of the company's equity, enabling shared international logistics networks, joint distribution synergies, and raw material supply chain optimizations. To capture surging global demand for processed ready-to-cook Asian foodstuffs, the company commissioned a dedicated rice noodle processing plant in Dong Thap Province, substantially expanding output capacity for export-grade rice noodles and vermicelli. Operationally, Sa Giang modernized its corporate governance and manufacturing management systems through the enterprise-wide rollout of GROW with SAP Cloud ERP solutions. The company also expanded its product development program to introduce clean-label, organic, and plant-based snack lines to strengthen its competitive positioning across Western and premium Asian retail channels.
