- Vinh Plastic and Bags Joint Stock Company (HNX: VBC) is a Vietnam-based industrial packaging and plastic manufacturing enterprise specializing in the development, production, and distribution of polymeric packaging solutions and plastic raw materials. Founded in 1996 as Vinh Plastic Factory under the Ministry of Defense's Economic Cooperation Corporation (COECCO) and equitized into a joint stock company in 2002, the company is headquartered in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, Vietnam. The company operates as a key packaging supplier in north-central Vietnam, supported by strategic institutional shareholding from COECCO and An Phat Complex Ecosystem partners, and manages an integrated production network comprising its primary manufacturing plant in Nghe An and modern manufacturing facilities located in the Gia Lach Industrial Zone in Ha Tinh Province.
The company operates through three principal business segments: Industrial Packaging Manufacturing, Plastic Resins and Compounds, and Packaging Services. Its core product portfolio encompasses a wide spectrum of polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) packaging solutions, including woven PP bags, laminated and coated PP bags, biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) laminated sacks, and offset-printed multi-layer bags; heavy-duty industrial and building material packaging, including Kraft-Polypropylene (KP), Kraft-Poly-Kraft (KPK), and Poly-Kraft-Poly (PKP) cement bags, as well as block-bottom valve bags (AD*STAR technology); Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC), featuring high-capacity jumbo bags, bulk container liners, and heavy-duty sling bags designed for mass cargo logistics; engineered plastic materials and raw polymers, comprising virgin and compounded polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) granules, as well as recycled PP and high impact polystyrene (HIPS) pellets; and specialized packaging services, including flexographic and gravure cylinder printing, customized packaging engineering, and the commercial trading of packaging-grade resins and auxiliary industrial materials.
Vinh Plastic and Bags JSC serves a diversified business-to-business customer base across the cement, construction materials, fertilizer, chemical, agricultural commodity, animal feed, and food processing industries. Geographically, the company maintains extensive commercial distribution throughout Vietnam and exports substantial volumes of industrial bags and FIBC containers to international markets, including Japan, South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand.
In recent developments, the company has undertaken operational modernizations and capacity optimizations across its three manufacturing plants, integrating advanced extrusion, circular weaving, and automated bag-converting machinery imported from Germany, Italy, Taiwan, and India. Within the last two years, Vinh Plastic and Bags JSC has strategically expanded its high-value FIBC jumbo and sling bag production lines at the Gia Lach Industrial Zone facilities to meet stringent quality and load-bearing standards required by export markets in East Asia and North America. In addition, the enterprise has enhanced its sustainable manufacturing capabilities by expanding its recycled plastic resin compounding operations to improve material circularity, while maintaining active strategic coordination with major packaging conglomerates to streamline supply chain procurement and optimize shareholder value through consistent operational cash flows and dividend distributions.
