Founded in 2015 as a key spin-off of Thang Long Air Services Corporation (Taseco Group, established in 2005) and headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company operates as a core subsidiary of Taseco Group, which maintains a 51% controlling equity interest. Taseco Air Services primarily serves domestic and international air travelers, business executives, commercial airlines, and corporate enterprise clients across Vietnam.
The company's commercial operations and service portfolio are structured across four primary business segments: Food and Beverage Services, comprising full-service restaurants, quick-service eateries, cafes, and airport bars operating under proprietary brands including Lucky Restaurant, Lucky Cafe, Lucky Fast Food, and Lucky Food & Drink, as well as airline catering support; Duty-Free and General Airport Retail, encompassing the retail sale of regional Vietnamese specialties, local handicrafts, packaged foods, apparel, and travel accessories through the Lucky Souvenir and Lucky Gift Shop networks, alongside luxury duty-free boutiques operated through Jalux Taseco Duty Free Co., Ltd., a 51%-owned joint venture with Japan-based JALUX Inc.; Passenger Support and Hospitality Services, consisting of premium VIP and business lounge operations such as the Vietcombank Priority Lounge, fast-track meet-and-greet passenger reception, telecommunication retail services including tourist SIM cards and mobile data plans, foreign exchange kiosks, and luggage packing and storage; and Ancillary Airport Services, including terminal advertising space management, commercial display media, travel booking and tour management, and hotel hospitality operations, notably the À La Carte Danang Beach hotel. Geographically, the company operates across Vietnam's primary aviation hubs, including Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang International Airport, Cam Ranh International Airport, and Phu Quoc International Airport.
In recent corporate developments, Taseco Air Services has expanded its institutional shareholder base and commercial concession footprint across major national aviation infrastructure projects. In September 2026, Japanese trading conglomerate Sojitz Corporation acquired a 27.64% strategic equity stake in Taseco Air Services for approximately VND 1.05 trillion (~USD 41 million) from exiting institutional funds PENM IV Germany and STIC Pan-Asia, establishing Sojitz as the company's second-largest shareholder to accelerate joint business development in airport retail, food service, and duty-free operations. Operationally, the company has accelerated concession rollouts, securing commercial spaces and launching 19 new points of sale at Tan Son Nhat International Airport's newly constructed Terminal 3, while preparing expanded duty-free and food and beverage concession spaces at the new Long Thanh International Airport ahead of its commercial commissioning in late 2026 and expanding retail capacity at Noi Bai International Airport's Terminal 2.
