Business
CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company produces, transports, and distributes compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for industrial manufacturing and transportation sectors in Vietnam. The company operates through two primary business segments: Gas Distribution and Technical & Engineering Services. Its product portfolio comprises Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), utilized as a clean thermal energy fuel for industrial boilers, kilns, and furnaces, as well as an alternative fuel for natural gas vehicles; Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), supplied via specialized cryogenic road tankers and ISO tanks to off-grid industrial consumers; and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), distributed for industrial and commercial heating applications. In addition to gas supply, the company delivers integrated technical solutions, including the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of gas pressure reducing systems (PRS) and customer-side decompression stations; technical conversion and retrofitting of industrial combustion systems and vehicle engines for natural gas compatibility; inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of gas distribution pipelines and pressure equipment; specialized overland logistics and transportation utilizing high-pressure tube trailers and cryogenic containers; and energy management consulting and safety training services. The company serves a diversified base of domestic and multinational industrial clients across various manufacturing sectors, including metallurgy and steel fabrication, ceramic tile and sanitary ware production, glass and building materials, food and beverage processing, chemical manufacturing, electronics, and municipal public transit fleets. CNG Vietnam operates a nationwide distribution infrastructure supported by mother compression stations in Phu My (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) serving Southern industrial corridors and Tien Hai (Thai Binh Province) serving Northern manufacturing hubs. Founded on May 28, 2007, CNG Vietnam Joint Stock Company is headquartered in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Vietnam, and operates as a core subsidiary of PetroVietnam Gas Joint Stock Corporation (PV GAS), a member unit of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam). In recent developments, CNG Vietnam has strategically diversified its clean energy portfolio by expanding into nationwide LNG commercialization and logistics. Sourcing from the operational Thi Vai LNG Terminal developed by its parent company PV GAS, CNG Vietnam commenced commercial distribution of LNG via cryogenic ISO tanks and specialized tanker trucks to industrial parks across Northern and Southern Vietnam. In conjunction with this expansion, the company developed dedicated LNG satellite supply stations, including its landmark LNG supply facility in Long An Province, to provide dual-fuel CNG/LNG energy security for off-pipeline industrial consumers. CNG Vietnam continues to align its operations with PV GAS's integrated clean energy supply chain model, deploying advanced cryogenic transport fleets and expanding technical conversion services to support industrial decarbonization initiatives across Vietnam.
