Business
Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Nam A Bank) is a Vietnam-based financial institution that provides commercial, retail, and corporate banking solutions, as well as treasury and international transaction services to individual consumers, household businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and corporate clients across Vietnam. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the bank operates across three primary business segments: Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, and Treasury and Financial Markets. The bank offers a comprehensive portfolio of financial products and services, including deposit solutions such as demand deposits, fixed-term savings, tiered-interest savings, and certificates of deposit; consumer credit facilities comprising residential mortgages, home construction and repair loans, auto financing, unsecured personal loans, study abroad credit, and individual business installment loans; commercial lending solutions including working capital loans, medium- and long-term project financing, supply chain financing, syndicated loans, and agricultural credit lines; trade finance and international payment services, including import and export letters of credit (L/C), collection services, bank guarantees, and performance bonds; card payment products featuring domestic and international debit, credit, and prepaid cards issued under the Napas, Mastercard, and JCB networks; digital banking channels accessible via the Nam A Bank Open Banking mobile application and web portals; treasury and market operations covering spot, forward, and swap foreign exchange transactions, interbank money market placements, and government and corporate debt securities trading; and ancillary services including cash management, electronic tax payment, automated payroll, escrow accounts, and bancassurance distribution. In recent developments, Nam A Bank achieved a major corporate milestone by officially listing and commencing trading of its shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange under the ticker HOSE:NAB in March 2024, transitioning from the UPCoM market to enhance institutional investor access, transparency, and capital market liquidity. The bank has substantially accelerated its digital transformation through the nationwide rollout of its proprietary ONEBANK 365+ autonomous digital transaction points, deploying humanoid artificial intelligence robots (OPBA) and advanced biometric authentication to deliver automated 24/7 banking operations. Furthermore, Nam A Bank has broadened its Open Banking ecosystem and forged strategic partnerships with international financial institutions to expand green credit portfolios dedicated to renewable energy, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly agriculture projects. The institution also continues to execute planned charter capital enhancements to strengthen its balance sheet and maintain capital adequacy metrics in alignment with Basel banking standards while broadening its domestic branch and transaction office network.
