Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based maritime port operator and logistics provider that manages and operates the Quy Nhon seaport, a strategic national Class I general seaport facility located in Quy Nhon Bay, Binh Dinh Province. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Quy Nhon City, Vietnam, the company operates as a core port-operating subsidiary of the state-owned Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC). The company provides an integrated suite of port infrastructure, cargo handling, and maritime logistics services across multiple operational segments, including cargo handling and stevedoring services for containerized cargo, dry bulk commodities, agricultural products, breakbulk freight, and project or oversized and overweight industrial machinery; marine vessel support services comprising tugboat assistance, vessel towing, pilotage support, mooring, and comprehensive ship agency representation; warehousing and storage management services encompassing container freight stations (CFS), bonded warehousing, open-air container storage yards, and dry warehouse facilities; multimodal logistics and freight forwarding services integrating coastal shipping, inland waterway transit, and road transportation networks; technical marine and port engineering services covering vessel engine and equipment repair, wharf maintenance, specialized container inspection (pre-trip inspection), reefer container electrical monitoring, and container cleaning; and auxiliary maritime support services including marine bunkering and fuel agency operations, freshwater provisioning, ship supply services, and mechanical fabrication. Quy Nhon Port serves as the primary maritime gateway for Vietnam's South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions, as well as the international transit corridor connecting to Southern Laos and Northeastern Cambodia, facilitating direct and transshipment sea routes to major regional ports across East and Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and the Philippines. In recent major developments, the company officially listed and commenced trading of its shares on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol QNP in January 2024. Operationally, the company completed and commissioned the expansion of Wharf No. 1, extending the berth length to 480 meters to accommodate container vessels of up to 30,000 deadweight tons (DWT). Concurrently, the port has advanced critical navigation channel deepening and dredging projects to achieve an operating depth of 13 meters and a widened turning basin, enabling the facility to receive vessels of up to 50,000 DWT. To modernize operations, the company has deployed smart and green port initiatives, including an electronic port (ePort) system, a modernized Terminal Operating System (TOS), automated gate processing, and digital payments, while advancing planned development of inland container depots (ICDs) and expanded logistics infrastructure aimed at scaling port throughput capacity toward 15 million metric tons annually.
