Business
Vingroup Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based diversified conglomerate engaged in the development and provision of technology, industrial manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, retail management, healthcare, and educational services. The company organizes its operations across three primary pillars: Industrials and Technology, Real Estate and Services, and Social Enterprises. Within its Industrials and Technology segment, the company develops, manufactures, and distributes electric passenger vehicles, including the VF 3, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) models; manufactures and distributes electric scooters, electric motorcycles, and electric buses under the VinFast brand; develops automotive battery systems, battery packs, and energy storage solutions; creates artificial intelligence software, computer vision systems, and automated driving assistance solutions through VinAI; and provides big data analytics, cybersecurity software, and smart device applications through VinBigData and VinCSS. In its Real Estate and Services segment, the company develops, sells, leases, and manages integrated master-planned urban communities, residential towers, luxury villas, and commercial real estate properties under the Vinhomes brand; operates, leases, and manages commercial shopping malls, retail centers, and entertainment complexes under the Vincom Retail brand, encompassing Vincom Center, Vincom Mega Mall, Vincom Plaza, and Vincom+; and provides hospitality, leisure, and entertainment services through the ownership and management of luxury beach resorts, convention hotels, golf courses, safari parks, and theme parks under the Vinpearl and VinWonders brands. Under its Social Enterprise segment, the company operates non-profit private healthcare facilities, general hospitals, outpatient clinics, and medical research institutes under the Vinmec brand; and provides K-12 primary and secondary educational institutions as well as higher education and university degree programs through Vinschool and VinUniversity. Headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, and founded in 1993, Vingroup maintains comprehensive operational coverage across Vietnam and has expanded its global footprint across Southeast Asia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. Recent major corporate developments include the global manufacturing and commercial expansion of its automotive division, VinFast, marked by the commencement of assembly plant construction projects in Tamil Nadu, India, and West Java, Indonesia, alongside the development of its manufacturing facility in North Carolina, United States. Vingroup has expanded international distribution through partnerships with multi-brand automotive dealer networks across North America, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region, transitioning its commercial strategy toward a hybrid direct-to-consumer and dealer-franchise model. In infrastructure development, Vingroup's leadership established V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company to deploy comprehensive electric vehicle charging networks across key international markets. Additionally, the group executed strategic restructuring initiatives across its real estate portfolio, including the strategic divestment of non-core commercial assets in its retail property arm, while securing strategic supply agreements and technological alliances for solid-state battery technology, intelligent vehicle operating systems, and green mobility financing.
