- Halcones Precious Metals Corp. is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of gold and silver mineral properties in Chile. The Company’s principal activities include geological mapping; surface rock-chip and channel sampling; geochemical and structural interpretation; target generation; mineral-rights acquisition and optioning; planning and execution of diamond-drilling programs; and advancement of prospective precious-metals exploration targets. Halcones’ principal asset is the Polaris gold project in the Antofagasta Region of northern Chile, held through its wholly owned subsidiary, Minera Los Halcones SpA. Polaris comprises 23 exploration concessions and two exploitation concessions covering approximately 5,777.5 hectares and is prospective for structurally controlled, vein- and stockwork-hosted gold mineralization associated with the Atacama Fault System. The Company also references the Carachapampa project, comprising 12 contiguous mining concessions covering approximately 2,868 hectares, as a gold, silver and copper exploration property. Halcones conducts its operations in Chile and is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; the Company was founded in 2008. In August 2026, Minera Los Halcones amended its option agreement with Austral Exploraciones SpA for Polaris, extending the deadline to complete 2,000 metres of drilling by six months to April 30, 2027, in consideration for a US$50,000 cash payment. The Company continues to pursue a court-administered easement in Taltal, Chile, to secure surface access needed for diamond drilling at Polaris, while also seeking a negotiated access agreement with surface-rights holders. Effective September 1, 2026, Ian Parkinson resigned as chief executive officer and remained an adviser to the Company, while Vern Arseneau became interim chief executive officer.
