PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA.JK), formerly PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk, operates as Indonesia's largest integrated petrochemical company and a leading provider of chemical and infrastructure solutions in Southeast Asia; it produces olefins including ethylene, propylene, pyrolysis gasoline, mixed C4, and pyrolysis fuel oil from its naphtha cracker plant in Cilegon, Banten; polyolefins such as high-density and linear low-density polyethylene under the Asrene and Grene brands for packaging, pipes, films, bottles, and environmental-friendly bags, and polypropylene including homopolymer, random copolymer, impact copolymer, and terpolymer under the Trilene brand for food containers, automotive parts, woven bags, and electronics; styrene monomer for polystyrene, ABS resins, SBR rubber, and unsaturated polyester resin; butadiene for synthetic rubbers, adhesives, and coatings; raffinate-1; and chlor-alkali products, with additional infrastructure services encompassing tank leasing, jetty operations, warehousing, seaport services, electricity sales, and fuels wholesale. The company, founded in 1984 through the merger of PT Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk and PT Chandra Asri and headquartered at Wisma Barito Pacific Tower A in Jakarta, Indonesia, serves domestic downstream industries in packaging, automotive, construction, consumer goods, and textiles while exporting regionally; it operates through subsidiaries like PT Styrindo Mono Indonesia for styrene monomer, PT Petrokimia Butadiene Indonesia for butadiene, and maintains strategic ownership ties to Barito Pacific Group and SCG Chemicals Co., Ltd. Recent developments include its name change to PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk in January 2024 to reflect expanded scope; completion in April 2025 of the acquisition of Shell's interest in Singapore's Shell Energy and Chemicals Park (now Aster Energy and Chemicals Park) through a joint venture with Glencore, marking its entry into refinery ownership for enhanced feedstock security and global marketing; and in November 2025, securing a US$750 million financing facility from KKR to support the acquisition of ExxonMobil's Esso retail fuel station network in Singapore, bolstering its downstream energy platform and regional mobility infrastructure alongside ongoing sustainability initiatives like green hydrogen utilization and chlor-alkali-ethylene dichloride plant development.
