China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. (600900.SS) principally engages in hydropower generation and the operation of large-scale hydropower stations primarily along the Yangtze River in China. The company owns, operates, and manages the Three Gorges, Gezhouba, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Wudongde, and Baihetan hydropower stations, with a total installed capacity of 71,795 MW; it also undertakes power production technology consultation, overhaul and maintenance of hydropower projects, equity investment, energy management, and management advisory services. Recent developments include the full grid connection of Baihetan Hydropower Station's 16 GW units in December 2022, establishing the world's largest clean energy corridor on the Yangtze River; completion of Wudongde Hydropower Station's all 12 units by June 2021; acquisition of an 83.6% stake in Peru's Luz del Sur power distribution company in April 2020 for USD 3.59 billion; issuance of sustainability-linked bonds and global depository receipts under the Shanghai-London Stock Connect in 2020 and 2021; and ongoing resource acquisition efforts, such as expansion projects at Xiangjiaba and Gezhouba stations and pumped storage approvals like Gansu Zhangye Pandaoshan, alongside a 5.01% year-on-year increase in domestic cascade hydropower output reported for the first half of 2025.
