- JSR Corporation develops and manufactures advanced materials for semiconductors, displays, life sciences and plastics. The company produces semiconductor materials including lithography materials such as photoresists and underlayers, chemical mechanical polishing slurries and cleaning solutions, and advanced packaging materials; display materials encompassing LCD panel materials and functional coatings; optical solutions featuring heat-resistant transparent resins, high-performance UV curable resins and stereolithography systems; life sciences products such as Protein A affinity chromatography resins including Amsphere A3 and A+, bioprocess materials, contract development and manufacturing organization services, and contract research organization services; and plastics comprising ABS, AES, AS and ASA resins for automotive parts, appliances and construction. JSR operates globally with production facilities in Japan, the United States, Europe and Asia, targeting semiconductor manufacturers, display producers, biopharmaceutical firms and industrial customers. Founded in 1957 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company sold its synthetic rubber business to ENEOS Holdings in 2021, completed the acquisition of Yamanaka Hutech Corporation in August 2024 to expand high-purity chemicals for semiconductor deposition, entered a cross-licensing agreement with Lam Research and Inpria in September 2025 for EUV dry resist and atomic layer etching technologies, launched Amsphere A+ Protein A resin in September 2024, and agreed in November 2025 to transfer Crown Bioscience to Adicon Holdings as part of portfolio optimization following its privatization by Japan Investment Corporation in April 2024.
