KraneShares S&P Pan Asia Dividend Aristocrats Index ETF (KDIV) seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P Pan Asia Dividend Aristocrats Index; the index targets high dividend yield companies in the Asia-Pacific region, including constituents from developed and emerging markets across China, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand that have consistently increased dividends every year for at least 10 consecutive years while meeting minimum market capitalization and liquidity thresholds. The ETF invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities comprising the index or instruments that provide economic exposure to the index, such as depository receipts, swaps, and futures; it offers exposure to dividend-growing companies selected to avoid dividend traps by excluding those with yields exceeding 10%, emphasizing sectors like financials, utilities, and consumer staples prevalent in Pan Asian markets. Launched on September 15, 2022, and listed on NYSE Arca, KDIV was managed by Krane Funds Advisors, LLC, an affiliate of KraneShares headquartered at 280 Park Avenue, 32nd Floor, New York, New York. In a major operational change, the Board of Trustees of KraneShares Trust approved the liquidation and termination of KDIV in October 2023; trading ceased on October 18, 2023, with final cash distributions to remaining shareholders on or about October 27, 2023, reflecting costs of closure and potentially including capital gains and dividends as a taxable event.
