Business
Kobo Resources Inc. is a Canada-based gold exploration company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and advancement of gold mineral properties in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Québec City, Québec, the Company focuses on identifying and delineating gold mineralization through diamond and reverse-circulation drilling; trenching; soil geochemistry; geological mapping; rock sampling; airborne geophysical surveys; metallurgical test work; resource modelling; and regional target generation. Its principal asset is the 100%-owned Kossou Gold Project, located approximately 20 kilometres northwest of Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, adjacent to established regional gold-processing infrastructure. Kossou encompasses multiple gold-mineralized target areas, including the Jagger, Road Cut and Kadie Zones, as well as the Contact Zone corridor, across a prospective strike length exceeding nine kilometres. The Company also advances the Kotobi Permit, where it is evaluating gold-in-soil anomalies through geochemical, structural and initial drilling programs, and pursues additional prospective exploration ground in Côte d’Ivoire, including earn-in opportunities such as the Yakassé Gold Project. Kobo’s activities are directed toward gold discovery, resource definition and potential future development rather than commercial gold production. In 2026, Kobo expanded resource-definition and exploration drilling at Kossou using a two-rig program, reported further high-grade and broad gold intercepts at the Road Cut and Jagger Zones, and continued drilling toward an inaugural mineral resource estimate targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026. The Company reported metallurgical testing in June 2026 indicating average gold recoveries of approximately 97% for Kossou composite samples. It also completed a C$5.5 million non-brokered private placement in April 2026 to fund advancement of Kossou and regional growth initiatives, engaged an independent firm to prepare Kossou’s maiden mineral resource estimate, and retained Atrium Research for research coverage. Kobo’s common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol KRI and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol Q1Z.
