Business
BG T&A Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based original development manufacturer (ODM) and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specializing in the design, engineering, and production of wireless communication equipment and automotive electronics. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates across key international markets, generating the majority of its revenue from exports to North America, Europe, Japan, and other regions in Asia. BG T&A structures its product offerings across several core categories: Radar Detectors (RD), including analog and digital radar/laser detectors, GPS-enabled speed camera alert systems, smartphone-linked radar detectors, and customized units with 3D graphical user interfaces; Two-Way Radios (TWR), comprising professional land mobile radios (LMR), commercial digital mobile radios (DMR), marine transceivers, and low-power handheld communication devices; Automotive Video and Hybrid Solutions, consisting of vehicle dashcams, black boxes, and integrated radar detector-digital video recorder (RDVR) combination units, primarily developed through its consolidated subsidiary MT Omega Co., Ltd.; and Outdoor and Navigation Devices, featuring wearable GPS golf rangefinder watches and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-enabled sport navigation equipment. In recent operational developments, BG T&A has expanded its product line toward next-generation connected automotive technologies, notably advancing high-performance RDVR systems that integrate radar detection with multi-channel video recording and artificial intelligence-assisted driving alert features. The company has strengthened its long-term strategic ODM supply partnerships with major global electronics and communications brands, including Cedar Electronics (operating the Cobra and Escort brands) for radar detection systems and Motorola Solutions for industrial two-way radio equipment. In addition, BG T&A has optimized its global supply chain and production footprint by scaling manufacturing capabilities at its overseas facility in Vietnam, improving cost efficiency and mitigating international tariff and geopolitical trade risks while supporting sustained export growth across commercial, industrial, and consumer markets.
