Business
DAE DONG STEEL Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based company primarily engaged in the processing, shearing, cutting, and distribution of steel products as an authorized steel service center partner of POSCO. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, the company maintains regional processing plants and distribution hubs across major industrial centers including Incheon, Pohang, and Dangjin. DAE DONG STEEL Co., Ltd. supplies a broad range of flat-rolled and structural steel products alongside specialized custom processing capabilities, which include: hot-rolled steel sheets, coils, and heavy plates (HR) engineered for structural frameworks, pressure vessels, and industrial machinery; pickled and oiled steel sheets (PO) providing improved surface quality for automotive components and electrical enclosures; checkered and embossed steel plates designed for industrial flooring, stairs, and transportation decking; structural section steel, including H-beams, standard I-beams, channel steel, angle steel, and flat bars utilized in building frames and civil works; structural steel pipes and rectangular hollow sections for engineering and architectural applications; cold-rolled steel sheets (CR) and galvanized steel products for precision metal fabrication; and comprehensive toll processing services, comprising high-precision transverse shearing, rotary slitting, uncoiling, automatic leveling, and custom-dimension cutting. The company markets its products and services primarily to domestic and regional contractors across the construction, shipbuilding, automotive manufacturing, heavy industrial equipment, civil engineering, and plant infrastructure sectors. In recent developments, DAE DONG STEEL Co., Ltd. has upgraded its manufacturing and processing facilities with automated leveling and high-precision shearing equipment to elevate dimensional tolerances, reduce scrap rates, and increase throughput efficiency; broadened its inventory portfolio to incorporate high-strength and corrosion-resistant steel grades tailored for renewable energy infrastructure, such as solar photovoltaic racking and onshore wind power structural components; deepened its strategic supply collaboration with POSCO to optimize supply chain stability against global raw material market volatility; and implemented digitalized logistics and real-time inventory tracking systems across its regional service centers to strengthen just-in-time distribution capabilities for major corporate and industrial clients.
