Business
I-Components Co., Ltd. is a South Korea-based manufacturer specializing in high-performance optical plastic films, barrier coating films, and functional substrates for flat-panel displays, consumer electronics, and renewable energy systems. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company operates across two principal segments: Coating and Extrusion. The company's core product portfolio includes barrier coating films, consisting of moisture- and oxygen-barrier coated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) films and multi-layer thin-film encapsulation substrates designed for quantum dot (QD) displays, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screens, electronic shelf labels (ESL), and flexible electronics; optical extrusion films and sheets, encompassing polycarbonate (PC) films, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) acrylic films, and light guide plate (LGP) materials utilized in liquid crystal display (LCD) panels, mobile devices, home appliances, and automotive interior components; functional surface-coated films, featuring anti-fingerprint, scratch-resistant hard-coating, anti-glare, and low-retardation optical properties; and roll-to-roll vacuum-sputtered films, delivering transparent conductive coatings and oxide-barrier layers on flexible plastic substrates. I-Components distributes its products to major electronics and industrial component manufacturers in South Korea as well as international markets, including China and Japan. In recent strategic developments, I-Components has expanded its proprietary roll-to-roll sputtering and barrier coating capabilities beyond display applications into the clean energy and aerospace sectors. The company has engineered specialized multi-layer barrier encapsulation films for flexible perovskite solar cells and space-grade photovoltaic modules designed to withstand extreme thermal and radiation environments, providing product samples to approximately 30 global technology enterprises across key Asian markets. Additionally, the company has broadened its commercial focus to encompass automotive smart display surfaces and industrial functional films while enhancing manufacturing yields, cost structures, and customized coating formulations across its primary production facilities.
