Business
Penetrium Bioscience Inc. is a South Korea-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company that specializes in the discovery, research, and development of novel biotherapeutics and multi-target fusion proteins for the treatment of metabolic disorders, immuno-oncology, and autoimmune diseases. The company develops therapeutic assets utilizing its proprietary platform technologies, primarily the NTIG (Non-covalent Triple Immunoglobulin) platform, which facilitates the design of long-acting, multi-specific fusion proteins with customizable pharmacokinetics and enhanced tissue penetration capabilities. The company operates through integrated biopharmaceutical research and drug development segments, offering an investigational pipeline that includes: PG-102, a long-acting dual GLP-1 and GLP-2 receptor agonist developed for obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH); PG-101, an engineered interleukin-2 (IL-2) fusion protein targeting advanced solid tumors and refractory cancers; PG-105, a multi-specific fusion protein candidate for immuno-oncology applications; and PG-110, an investigational biologic candidate directed at chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. In addition to internal pipeline advancement, the company provides collaborative research, preclinical candidate optimization, protein engineering, and technology out-licensing services to international biotechnology and pharmaceutical partners. In recent corporate developments, Yuhan Corporation completed a strategic equity investment to become the company's largest shareholder, establishing a joint development partnership focused on co-advancing the PG-102 metabolic pipeline and next-generation dual-target biologics. The company has also progressed PG-102 through Phase 1 clinical trial evaluations to assess safety, pharmacokinetics, and glycemic modulation, while continuing to expand its international patent portfolio covering multi-target fusion constructs and drug delivery mechanisms across North America, Europe, and Asia. Founded in 1998, Penetrium Bioscience Inc. is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
