Business
Pie Co.,Ltd. is a South Korea-based technology company that specializes in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven machine vision inspection and smart factory manufacturing intelligence solutions. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, the company develops integrated software and hardware platforms designed for defect detection, process automation, and quality management in high-precision industrial environments. The company provides a comprehensive suite of products and services, including AI vision inspection systems, which deploy proprietary deep learning algorithms and modular software architectures to perform real-time optical defect analysis across all secondary battery form factors, including cylindrical, prismatic, and pouch cells throughout electrode, assembly, and packaging stages; non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection systems, utilizing industrial computed tomography (CT), X-ray, and ultrasonic imaging to examine internal structural integrity and weld quality; data-driven smart factory software platforms, featuring Factory Monitoring and Control Center (FMCC) visualization, manufacturing execution integration, and predictive maintenance analytics; automated precision inspection equipment and customized handling machinery; and industrial computing, system integration (SI), and network integration (NI) infrastructure services. Pie Co.,Ltd. serves tier-one electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturers, automotive original equipment manufacturers, semiconductor packaging enterprises, printed circuit board (PCB) fabricators, and display producers across global markets, operating international corporate entities and technical support facilities in the United States, China, and Europe (Hungary). Through its consolidated subsidiaries, which include BizHi System Co., Ltd., F1 Tech Co., Ltd., and Aha Labs Inc., the company delivers vertically integrated turnkey manufacturing intelligence solutions. In recent major developments, Pie Co.,Ltd. completed its initial public offering and listed its common stock on the KOSDAQ market of the Korea Exchange (Ticker: KRX:452450) in February 2025. In late 2025, the company restructured its corporate governance from a co-chief executive arrangement to a sole leadership structure under founder and Chief Executive Officer Jung-il Choi to streamline executive decision-making and enhance operational agility. Additionally, the company has actively expanded its core machine vision and physical AI inspection solutions beyond secondary batteries into high-growth industrial verticals, including advanced semiconductor packaging, next-generation glass substrates, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, while expanding strategic supply agreements with global battery and automotive manufacturers in North America and Europe.
