Amplify CrowdBureau Online Lending & Digital Banking ETF (NYSE Arca: LEND) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results corresponding to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the CrowdBureau Peer-to-Peer Lending and Equity Crowdfunding Index. The fund, a series of Amplify ETF Trust, invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities comprising the index, focusing on U.S.-listed companies within the peer-to-peer online lending, digital banking, and related fintech ecosystem; this includes peer-to-peer marketplace lenders deriving at least 50% of revenue from loan-based crowdfunding platforms, digital banking platforms providing end-to-end financial services via desktop, mobile, and ATM channels, social networking platforms offering peer-to-peer lending or securities-based crowdfunding, and providers of technology and software solutions enabling these operations. Holdings are tier-weighted across segments—85% in peer-to-peer lenders and digital banks (modified market-cap weighted), 15% in technology providers, and up to 5% fixed-weighted in social platforms—with quarterly rebalancing and no limit on the number of securities.
Launched in 2019 and headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois under sponsor Amplify Investments LLC (part of Amplify ETFs, founded 2015), the ETF targets investors seeking exposure to the online lending and digital banking sectors, including key holdings such as LendingTree Inc., Lufax Holding Ltd., Affirm Holdings Inc., LendingClub Corp., and Upstart Holdings Inc., alongside digital payment firms like PayPal Holdings Inc. and traditional banks with digital arms like Capital One Financial Corp.
In June 2021, Amplify ETFs announced the liquidation of the fund, determining it was in the best interests of shareholders following a recommendation from Amplify Investments LLC; trading ceased and final cash distributions occurred shortly thereafter, rendering the ETF inactive. Subsequent records confirm the fund's inactive status as of 2024, with no evidence of relaunch or major strategic changes post-liquidation, amid Amplify's ongoing portfolio adjustments including recent liquidations of other thematic ETFs in 2024 and 2025.
