Stone Ridge Trust - LifeX 2050 Longevity Income ETF is a U.S.-domiciled, actively managed fixed-income exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide reliable monthly distributions comprising income and return of principal through 2050. The fund, managed by Stone Ridge Asset Management LLC and marketed under the LifeX brand, invests principally in U.S. Treasury debt securities and related U.S. government-backed money market instruments, constructing a Treasury bond ladder intended to support scheduled monthly cash flows while distributing substantially all assets by its designated end year. The ETF is designed for individual investors, financial advisers and retirement-income planners seeking a liquid, exchange-traded vehicle for long-term cash-flow needs; investors may purchase or sell shares on an exchange and elect to spend or reinvest monthly distributions. Its distributions generally combine Treasury interest income with return of capital and are intended to be tax-efficient; its net asset value is expected to decline over time as principal is distributed. The fund traces its origins to January 8, 2024, and began trading in ETF form on September 16, 2024, following conversion from a mutual fund; it is part of Stone Ridge Trust’s LifeX Longevity Income ETF family, which includes 2050, 2055, 2060 and 2065 end-year funds. In 2025, Stone Ridge Trust consolidated its LifeX longevity-income product range: LifeX 2048 and 2049 Longevity Income ETFs were reorganized into the LifeX 2050 Longevity Income ETF on September 15, 2025, in a transaction expected to qualify as tax-free for U.S. federal income-tax purposes. The Trust also completed a 10-for-13 reverse share split for the LifeX 2050 Longevity Income ETF effective after market close on September 19, 2025, with split-adjusted trading beginning September 22, 2025, and approved a special distribution for eligible shareholders.
