Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d. is a composite insurance and financial services provider, operating as the parent company of the Triglav Group, the largest insurance and asset management group in Slovenia and the Adria region. Founded in 1900 and headquartered in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the company provides comprehensive non-life, life, health, and reinsurance products, alongside wealth and asset management solutions to individual, commercial, and institutional clients across Southeastern Europe and international markets. The company organizes its operations across two primary strategic pillars: Insurance and Asset Management. Its comprehensive product and service portfolio comprises non-life insurance, including motor third-party liability and comprehensive hull insurance; commercial property, fire, natural disaster, and business interruption insurance; personal casualty, general liability, and professional indemnity coverage; agricultural, crop, and livestock insurance; transport, cargo, and marine hull insurance; cyber risk insurance; and 24/7 roadside, home, and travel assistance services; life and pension insurance, consisting of traditional whole life and term life policies; unit-linked and investment-backed life insurance; capital redemption policies; individual and collective voluntary supplementary pension insurance; and annuity payout plans; health insurance, offering private and commercial health coverage; critical illness protection; specialist and outpatient medical treatment insurance; surgical intervention coverage; and dental and preventive health programs; reinsurance solutions, provided through subsidiary Pozavarovalnica Triglav Re (Triglav Re), delivering treaty and facultative reinsurance across property, casualty, and life risks internationally; asset management and investment services, executed through subsidiary Triglav Skladi, encompassing mutual fund management; discretionary individual portfolio management; alternative investment funds; private pension fund management; and structured investment advisory; and digital and mobility tools, including the DRAJV telematics driving application, the i.Triglav client web and mobile service portal, and digital claims filing and management platforms. Geographically, Zavarovalnica Triglav operates primarily across six core markets in the Adria region, including Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia, while conducting cross-border insurance operations in Italy and Greece, and international reinsurance activities across global markets. In recent strategic developments, the Triglav Group launched its comprehensive Strategy to 2030, targeting a doubling of earnings, substantial expansion of business volume, accelerated digital transformation, and increased market penetration across Southern and Eastern Europe. In line with this strategy, the company expanded its international non-life underwriting operations, particularly in the Italian market, driving significant business volume growth. In July 2026, the company agreed to acquire a strategic equity stake in one of Croatia's leading private healthcare providers, advancing its commercial healthcare ecosystem. Following statutory reforms and the discontinuation of supplemental health insurance in Slovenia, the group restructured its health portfolio toward commercial and regional health insurance offerings. Operationally, the company completed the enterprise-wide transition to the IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 financial reporting standards, supported by integrated actuarial and financial data architectures. Zavarovalnica Triglav trades on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ZVTG and maintains an A+ credit rating with a stable outlook from S&P Global Ratings and an A rating from AM Best.
