In mid-2025, Luxshare-ICT acquired a 50.1% majority stake in Leoni AG and its Wiring Systems Division from sole owner Stefan Pierer, while its subsidiary TIME Interconnect took 100% ownership of the ACS division, enhancing global market access through complementary customer bases including Tesla and Chinese automakers, vertical integration in electronics and wiring, and expanded manufacturing networks. Leoni opened a new production plant in Agadir, Morocco, in January 2025 optimized for commercial vehicle wiring systems, powertrain and off-road applications, creating over 3,000 jobs and emphasizing digitalization, efficiency and sustainability. The company continues its operational turnaround under CEO Klaus Rinnerberger, appointed in 2023, with ongoing cost reductions including 20% overhead cuts, process optimizations and a commitment to halve product CO2 footprints by 2030 via initiatives like the fully recyclable LIMEVERSE cable line launched in 2024.
