MicroSectors 3x Long Investment Grade Corporate Bond (LQD) ETNs is an exchange-traded note series issued by Bank of Montreal (BMO) and marketed under the MicroSectors brand, which is brought to investors by REX Shares, LLC. The LQDU ETNs provide sophisticated investors with three times leveraged long exposure, on a daily basis and before fees, charges and the effects of daily leverage resetting, to the performance of the VettaFi Investment Grade Corporate Bond Fund-Tracking Index (VLQDF), a total-return index designed to track the iShares iBoxx $ Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (LQD) and provide exposure to U.S.-dollar-denominated investment-grade corporate debt through a single fund-tracking vehicle. The notes trade on the Cboe BZX Exchange under the ticker symbol LQDU and mature on July 31, 2046. They are senior unsecured obligations of BMO and are therefore subject to BMO’s credit risk. MicroSectors offers targeted exchange-traded notes for active and sophisticated investors, including leveraged, inverse leveraged and beta exposure products across investment-grade and high-yield corporate bonds; semiconductors; artificial intelligence; FANG+ and MANGOS+ technology baskets; gold and gold miners; energy; oil and gas exploration and production; U.S. big banks and big oil; travel; and equity markets in Brazil, Japan and Taiwan. The products are designed principally as daily trading tools rather than buy-and-hold investments, with returns over periods longer than one day potentially differing materially from the stated daily leverage objective due to daily resetting and market volatility. MicroSectors is a REX Shares trademark licensed to BMO for specified purposes; BMO Capital Markets Corp., an affiliate of BMO, acts as underwriter for the ETN offerings. BMO, founded in 1817 and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, provides banking, wealth management, global markets and investment-banking services across Canada, the United States and select international markets, while REX Shares develops exchange-traded products for active traders and long-term investors from its U.S. operations. In August 2026, BMO and REX Shares expanded the MicroSectors platform through the launch of LQDU and the corresponding -3x Short Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETNs, LQDD, alongside 3x long and -3x short high-yield corporate-bond ETNs, HYGU and HYGD; the launches broadened the platform into leveraged daily exposure to U.S. corporate-bond market segments. Subsequent 2026 product expansion included new MicroSectors ETNs covering artificial intelligence, semiconductors, Brazil, Japan, Taiwan, MANGOS+ ex private companies, communication services and consumer staples.
