Business
Holland Colours N.V. engages in the development, production, and commercialization of solid and liquid colorants, masterbatches, and additives primarily for rigid and flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastics. Its product portfolio includes color concentrates for the Building & Construction market (pipes, fittings, cladding, siding, window profiles, roofing materials, fences); Plastic Packaging (PET packaging for food, drink, cosmetics, and personal care products); and Silicones & Elastomers (colorants for sealants, silicone rubber products). The company also manufactures pigments and specialty colorant products for various applications including aluminum items, flexible PVC products such as toys and conveyor belts, coatings, adhesives, and elastomers. Operations span Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa, the Americas, and Asia, with production sites in the Netherlands, Hungary, the United States, and Indonesia. Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, Holland Colours serves approximately 2,000 customers in 85 countries. Recently, Holland Colours has expanded its sustainable additives product lines to enhance the reusability and sustainability of plastic materials, including launching new solid colorants designed to improve manufacturing efficiency in paint production. It achieved full EU 15th Amendment compliance for food packaging-related products, including the innovative TasteGuard AA scavenger, and introduced black colorants in Asia targeting flexible PVC applications. The Asia division underwent a legal merger of PT Holland Colours Asia and PT Holco Indo Jaya to optimize operations. For the 2024/2025 financial year, the company reported an 8.7% revenue increase driven by volume growth, particularly in EMEIA and the Americas regions, despite market challenges in China and Indonesia. Holland Colours continues to emphasize strategic partnerships and innovation to support recycling processes and improve recycled material quality, reinforcing its position as a pioneering supplier of sustainable colorants and additives for the plastics industry. The company operates through three regional divisions—Europe (including Middle East, India, and Africa), the Americas, and Asia—and focuses on customers in building and construction, plastic packaging, and silicone and elastomer markets globally. Holland Colours remains committed to strategic growth plans, margin management, and continuous improvement programs to strengthen its global market presence. Overall, Holland Colours N.V. remains a key player in the commodity chemicals materials sector, combining advanced pigment and additive technologies with sustainability-driven innovation and global operational integration. Its ongoing investments in product development, compliance, and market expansion underline its role in serving plastic manufacturers and converters across multiple continents.
