Business
Zignago Vetro S.p.A. (ZV.MI) produces and markets hollow glass containers primarily for the food and beverage, cosmetics and perfumery sectors; its core offerings include standard and customized bottles, jars, and flacons in high-quality flint glass and various colors, such as food jars for baby food, tuna, and seafood; medium- and large-size jars alongside bottles for wine, olive oil, spirits, vinegar, and liquor; lightweight MoreLite containers; premium lines like Extra, Bono, Hamilton, Raya, and Giotto Duo; and specialty packaging for luxury brands encompassing perfumes, top-quality cosmetics, and niche fragrances. The company operates eight glass production plants and 51 production lines across Italy, France, Poland, and internationally, producing over three billion containers annually while emphasizing sustainability through glass recycling via three dedicated companies and lightweight designs that reduce environmental impact. Founded with its first facility in Fossalta di Portogruaro, Italy, in the mid-20th century and headquartered at Via Ita Marzotto 8 in Fossalta di Portogruaro (VE), Zignago Vetro lists on the Milan Stock Exchange's STAR segment and serves mass-market, masstige, lifestyle, and luxury segments with clients including Bulgari, L'Oréal, Heinz, Campari, and Mutti. In recent developments, the company acquired a 79% stake in Polish glassmaker Huta Szkla Czechy for under €7 million to expand cosmetics and perfumery production capacity, integrate new manufacturing processes, and strengthen its Eastern European presence; launched innovative products such as the MoreLite collection for both food/beverage and cosmetics, tuna jars, and spirits-focused Bono range; entered a three-year partnership with Prosecco Cycling to promote regional sustainability; achieved Platinum EcoVadis certification (93/100 score, top 1% globally) and issued Environmental Product Declarations; and appointed a new Chief Executive Officer while distributing €29.7 million in 2024 dividends.
