Business
Velocity Composites plc (VEL.L) manufactures advanced carbon fibre and ancillary material kits for aerospace and high-performance manufacturers, leveraging proprietary software, process knowledge and automated cutting technologies to minimize material waste, optimize usage and support increased production rates. The company provides structural material kits including ply generation, shape management, configuration control and life management services; engineered vacuum bag material kits encompassing simple and complex cut shapes, 3D nylon welded bags, vacuum tracks and sub-assemblies; process optimisation products such as honeycomb cores, potting compounds, co-bonded materials and tooling aids; and engineering support services covering documentation updates, inventory management and continuous improvement. Incorporated in 2007 and headquartered at AMS Technology Park in Burnley, Lancashire, United Kingdom, Velocity operates primary facilities in Burnley and Fareham, UK, with a US site in Tallassee, Alabama, serving global customers including Airbus, Boeing and defence OEMs across aerospace, automotive, renewable energy and urban air mobility sectors. Recent developments include a multi-year contract renewal and expansion in October 2025 with a UK Tier 1 aerospace manufacturer for structural kits on the Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 programmes through 2035, valued at up to $54 million; a three-year defence contract extension in May 2025 with a major global defence contractor for process material kits on 4th and 5th generation fighter programmes; AS9100 and Nadcap recertifications in September 2025 affirming quality standards; and sustained revenue growth driven by US market expansion.
