Luminex Resources Corp. (TSXV: LR; OTCQX: LUMIF) is a Vancouver-based precious and base metals exploration and development company focused on gold and copper projects in Ecuador. The company acquires, explores, and evaluates mineral properties, with core assets including the Condor Gold-Copper project in Zamora-Chinchipe Province featuring inferred and indicated mineral resources; the Pegasus earn-in project with Anglo American; and other properties such as Orquideas and Cascas. Founded in 2018 and headquartered at 625 Howe Street in Vancouver, Canada, Luminex targets high-grade epithermal gold, silver, and porphyry copper-gold systems through systematic exploration methods including geological mapping, geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys, and diamond drilling. In a major strategic development, Luminex completed a merger with Adventus Mining Corporation in January 2024, through which Adventus acquired a 98.7% interest in Luminex's Condor project, Pegasus earn-in agreement, and extensive greenfield exploration portfolio in Ecuador, creating a combined entity advancing the El Domo-Curipamba copper-gold project alongside broader exploration efforts. Concurrently, the companies raised approximately US$18 million in equity financing to support project advancement, transaction costs, and working capital. JOGMEC withdrew from the Orquideas earn-in arrangement in February 2024, prompting Adventus to evaluate partnership opportunities for the asset and other greenfield properties. These changes position the merged portfolio for enhanced copper-gold resource delineation in Ecuador's prospective mineral belts, with Luminex shares delisted from the TSXV and Luminex ceasing to be a reporting issuer following shareholder approval.
