Matachewan Consolidated Mines, Limited is a Canada-based natural resources company engaged in investing in mineral properties, petroleum interests, and other resource-related securities; the company was incorporated in 1933 and is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Historically, it held a royalty interest in the Matachewan property covering 24 mining claims in Powell and Cairo Townships in the Matachewan area of Ontario, part of the Young-Davidson mine operated by Alamos Gold Inc.; in addition, it has invested in petroleum interests in Canada and has sought indirect exposure to other natural resource opportunities through marketable securities and equity investments in other listed resource companies. In May 2025, Matachewan completed the sale of all rights and interests in its mineral royalties on the 24 mining claims at the Young-Davidson mine to Alamos Gold for C$2.7 million, effectively divesting that royalty asset; in May 2026, the company announced settlement and termination of its share lending agreement, and in July 2026 it announced board and management changes, including the appointment of Zachary Goldenberg as chief executive officer and the addition of new independent directors.
