Business
MedX Health Corp. develops, manufactures and commercializes medical-device and software solutions for skin health, dermatology, teledermatology, clinical research and photobiomodulation therapy. Incorporated in 1999 and headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, the Company serves healthcare providers, dermatologists, health systems, payers, contract research organizations, academic institutions and enterprise partners in Canada, the United States, Europe and other international markets. Its principal offerings include DermSecure®, an FDA-cleared software-as-a-medical-device teledermatology platform that combines secure patient-record management, clinical imaging, subsurface lesion analysis, remote dermatologist review and care-triage workflows for the early assessment and detection of suspicious moles, lesions and other skin conditions; SIAscopy® and SIAScope® imaging technology, including SIAMETRICS®, SIMSYS® and MoleMate® devices, which use patented light-based imaging to non-invasively measure and visualize skin characteristics and biomarkers, including melanin, hemoglobin, collagen, pigmentation and vascularity, up to approximately two millimeters below the skin surface; SkinSecure™, a cloud-based software-as-a-service platform that uploads and analyzes chromophore images for clinical-trial and skin-health research workflows, enabling quantitative, longitudinal assessment of subdermal changes in melanin, hemoglobin and collagen; and Class IIIb photobiomodulation laser systems for non-invasive, drug-free pain management, inflammation reduction, tissue repair and cellular healing. Its laser-therapy portfolio includes rehabilitation console, portable and home-use systems, as well as OraLase® dental lasers and LumaVet veterinary cold-laser systems for oral-care, animal-health, pain-management and tissue-healing applications. MedX’s products and platform are designed for regulated healthcare environments and are supported by FDA clearance, Health Canada approvals, CE accreditation, ISO 13485 quality-management standards and MDSAP-aligned processes; its data infrastructure is designed to support HIPAA and GDPR compliance and interoperability with healthcare, claims, research and clinical-trial systems through HL7 FHIR standards. The Company reports deployments across 37 territories and operates through direct and partner-led distribution and service arrangements. Recent strategic developments include the June 2026 launch of SkinSecure as a cloud-based SaaS offering linking SIAScope imaging devices with clinical-research organization workflows and providing objective biological measurement for skin-health research; the 2025 introduction of the LumaVet veterinary laser line and OraLase dental laser SKU; the May 2025 partnership with Vitamed Biomedical and Medispa to expand teledermatology services in Italy; and management and product-development enhancements, including the appointment of John Gevisser as chief executive officer in May 2025 and the addition of strategic advisers focused on skin science, artificial intelligence and product development.
