- MFS Active Exchange Traded Funds Trust—MFS Active International ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks capital appreciation through investments in equity securities of non-U.S. issuers. The fund, which commenced operations on December 5, 2024 and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker MFSI, is a series of MFS Active Exchange Traded Funds Trust, a Massachusetts business trust organized in 2024. It is advised by Massachusetts Financial Services Company, doing business as MFS Investment Management, and distributed by MFS Fund Distributors, Inc.; the MFS organization is headquartered at 111 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts. The fund provides investors with a transparent, exchange-traded vehicle for actively managed international equity exposure, including common stocks, depositary receipts and other equity-related securities of companies in developed and emerging markets outside the United States. It employs a bottom-up, fundamental investment process supported by quantitative analysis to identify high-quality, attractively valued companies, emphasizing growth at a reasonable price and a quality bias. The portfolio may invest across market capitalizations, industries, countries and regions, and is benchmarked to the MSCI All Country World ex USA Index. As of July 31, 2026, its principal geographic exposures include Europe excluding the United Kingdom, emerging markets, Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Asia-Pacific ex-Japan and Israel; leading holdings include Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. ADR, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Tencent Holdings Ltd. ADR, Schneider Electric SE, Compagnie Financière Richemont SA, Hitachi Ltd., Novartis AG, Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC, Roche Holding AG and ING Groep NV. The portfolio’s largest sector allocations are financials, information technology, industrials, consumer discretionary and health care. MFSI carries a 0.59% gross expense ratio and had net assets of approximately $1.22 billion as of August 28, 2026. The fund’s most significant recent operational development is the scheduled retirement of portfolio manager Daniel Ling from MFS and his relinquishment of portfolio-management responsibilities effective June 30, 2026. MFSI was introduced as part of MFS Investment Management’s initial December 2024 launch of five actively managed ETFs, representing the firm’s expansion into the active ETF market and complementing its mutual fund, separately managed account and other investment-management offerings.
