Business
Ratti S.p.A. is an Italy-based textile manufacturer specializing in the design, development, production, and worldwide distribution of high-end printed, plain, yarn-dyed, and jacquard fabrics, as well as finished textile accessories for international luxury fashion houses, haute couture, prêt-à-porter designers, and upscale interior decoration markets. Founded in 1945 by Antonio Ratti and headquartered in Guanzate (Como), Italy, the company operates as a subsidiary of the Marzotto Group (Gruppo Marzotto) and is publicly traded on the Euronext Milan exchange (MIL:RAT). The company manages a vertically integrated manufacturing workflow spanning creative textile design, yarn preparation, weaving, rotary and flat screen printing, digital printing, dyeing, finishing, and rigorous quality inspection. Ratti structures its commercial operations across several primary divisions: Women's Collections (Polo Donna), comprising printed, plain, jacquard, fil coupé, devoré, and stretch textiles crafted from silk, wool, cotton, linen, cashmere, viscose, and technical blends for luxury women's apparel, dresses, shirting, and outerwear; Men's and Unisex Accessories (Polo Uomo), producing premium finished textile accessories including silk neckties, bow ties, scarves, foulards, pocket squares, stoles, bandanas, and shawls; Beachwear, delivering printed and dyed technical fabrics engineered for designer swimwear and resort collections; and Home Furnishings (Ratti Interiors), manufacturing high-performance decorative fabrics for upholstery, drapery, wall coverings, and bespoke interior design projects. In addition, the company offers custom design and archive consultation services utilizing its historical textile archives; specialized commission printing through traditional screen and state-of-the-art digital inkjet technologies; yarn and piece dyeing; and custom mechanical and chemical finishing treatments for global luxury brands. Geographically, Ratti S.p.A. operates its central production, creative, and administrative headquarters in Guanzate, Italy, supported by production and finishing operations in Romania through its subsidiary Textrom S.r.l., alongside international sales and marketing subsidiaries including Ratti USA Inc. in the United States and Ratti France S.a.r.l. in France, distributing products throughout Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region. In recent strategic and operational developments, Ratti has expanded its industrial investments in technological modernization, ecological sustainability, and agile manufacturing for the luxury supply chain. The company has integrated advanced low-impact digital inkjet printing lines that significantly reduce water and chemical consumption, expanded photovoltaic solar energy installations across its Guanzate industrial facilities to enhance energy efficiency, and deepened circular textile innovation through certified sustainable fabric lines incorporating organic silk (GOTS), recycled fibers (GRS), traceable European linen, and responsible wool. Furthermore, Ratti continues to reinforce long-term co-design and production partnerships with premier European luxury conglomerates, optimizing rapid-response sample development and traceability protocols aligned with Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) standards and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.
